The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum of the NAPC

Dear Colleague,

The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum of the National Association of Primary Care

Thanks to everyone who has registered for the above event, if you have not yet done so we still have places available and you would be welcome to join us, details below.please find below details for the next meeting of the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum of the NAPC

As you will be aware there is significant debate around the concept of “coordinated care”  and the “wellness of populations” and we are joined by three representatives of Local Professional Networks, Eye Health (Liz Greenwood), Dentistry (Jane Moore) and Community Pharmacy (Robbie Turner)  to give their views on  “Key opportunities for my profession to support the delivery of high quality primary care”

For those of you who are considering or already in the process of forming a federation of practices we are delighted to welcome Dr Phil Yates, Chairman of  GP Care, a federation of practices  set up in 2006, in the Bristol area, as a Limited Liability Partnership  by a number of highly experienced GPs and other professionals.

Phil has promised to give us a “warts and all” view of the successes and challenges faced during their journey so far. Phil’s presentation will also cover GP Care’s relationships with other primary care professionals and secondary care providers.

Finally we once again welcome Dr Charles Alessi, Chairman of the NAPC. On behalf of NAPC Charles continues to be involved in influencing policy at the highest level. A key feature of the NAPC’s work is the role it plays in influencing the development of policy in its relationships with Ministers and Officials. NAPC’s meetings with government and civil servants enable it to channel information from its membership. Charles will make a short presentation on the key issues which are engaging the NAPC at the moment and will be delighted to hear and take note of your views on such issues.

The event is free to NHS colleagues and those providing services on behalf of the NHS. A small charge is made for other organisations, please see our funding policy and terms of engagements attached.

We hope you will be able to join us,

Would you be kind enough to cascade this invitation within your organisation.

Should you require further information of clarification please do not hesitate to contact me.
