DEAD EARNEST THEATRE PRESENTS “A SPACE FOR SHARING”

Public engagement event on Friday 1st June. The description of the play is as follows
A powerful play, following five women diagnosed with breast cancer who find friendship, camaraderie and support online. Followed by an open discussion, led by Professor Peter Bath from the University of Sheffield.
The play was developed from a study led by Professor Peter Bath, University of Sheffield. The study explored the experiences of women with breast cancer, in particular the support they received by taking part in on-line chats with other women who had breast cancer. The event will provide an opportunity for people to listen to and share their own experiences/thoughts about living with serious illness and the role that social media can play in supporting people during their illness.
