INVOLVE at 21
Celebrate the progress of public involvement in research and consider the opportunities ahead
28 November 2017
Church House Westminster, London
INVOLVE’s national conferences bring together people with a passion in public involvement in health, public health and social care research. This includes members of the public, service users, researchers, research commissioners, public involvement leads and representatives of voluntary sector organisations. The INVOLVE conference has a proud tradition of attracting both national and international delegates.
As INVOLVE turns 21 this year, the conference will celebrate successes, demonstrate how we can learn together from challenges and barriers, share good practice and energise the public involvement community to strive to the next level. The conference will highlight INVOLVE’s new national leadership areas identified by “Going the Extra Mile,” and be led by the launch of the public involvement standards.
In direct response to feedback from the last conference, this year’s event has been designed to be focused and impactful, with an intimate feel that lends itself to networking and collaboration. In order to showcase some of the strongest public involvement examples there will be 12 parallel sessions and 30 posters available on the day. Additional opportunities to share good practice will be made available via our website and communications.
The conference will start at 09.30 and close at 16.45.
The conference location is Church House Westminster http://www.churchhouseconf.co.uk. Church House is a five minute walk from Westminster underground station. Because of its central location there will be limitations on parking, but taxis will be able to drop off outside the main entrance
INVOLVE is delighted to be able to offer attendance at the 2017 conference at the same rate for the day as the 2014 conference.
This is a non-profit making conference funded by public money. All delegates, including presenters, will be expected to book and pay a conference fee, prior to attending.
INVOLVE has a small discretionary bursary scheme which is subject to conditions and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
If you are a member of the public and you are part of a project team, it is expected that your costs will be covered by that particular organisation/research group.
All of the conference administration is being carried out by Professional Briefings. If you have any questions about the application form, the conference, or availability of information in alternative formats, please contact Rosemary McMahon at:
