The department of Mental Health and Wellbeing at Warwick Medical School are looking for a researcher to join an exciting new NIHR project to evaluate the implementation of cognitive strategies in first episode services around the UK.
The post is fixed-term for 3 years, with salary of £25,298-£28,453 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Deadline for applications is 8 November 2016.
The post holder will be responsible for the recruitment and clinical, cognitive assessment of young adults with psychosis, taking part in a cognitive-remediation trial in early intervention services.
You will have a good BSc/BA degree or equivalent in relevant subject (psychology or related) together with an understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with mental health problems and other disabilities. You will have effective communication skills, both orally and in written format and be able to communicate effectively in an empathic and accessible manner.
Sufficient relevant clinical/research experience in mental health and an ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the research will be required.
