Seminar ‘Health Inequalities and relationships with communities – a paradigm shift or just an interesting discussion?’@scharrsheffield @markgamsu

University of Sheffield, ScHARR seminar series continues on Tuesday 8th of November with a talk from Professor Mark Gamsu, a visiting professor at Leeds Beckett University. The presentation is entitled ‘Health Inequalities and relationships with communities – a paradigm shift or just an interesting discussion?’ and here is a summary of the talk:

For a range of reasons there is some fresh energy and renewed emphasis on trying to develop approaches that are:

  • more upstream,
  • prevention focused
  • co-produced with communities and the voluntary and community sector.

This presentation focuses on some of the reasons for this, the opportunities these may present and some of the challenges along the way.

The seminar is Tuesday 8th of November 12.30-1.30pm, in the Pemberton Room, Regent Court. All University staff and students are welcome and tea and coffee is provided. You are welcome to bring your lunch to all events.
