PPI and Citizen Science Group

The NIHR CLAHRC Yorkshire and Humber Telehealth and Care Technologies theme are in the process of creating a PPI/Citizen Science group which will consist of members of the public who have expressed an interest in becoming a PPI/Citizen Science member to provide advice or be approached as a potential participant. Members of the group will be listed as those who would like to provide advice on various aspects of projects such as consent forms, information sheets and the design of research projects. Members will also have the opportunity to be listed as someone who is interested in being approached as a potential participant for new projects.

This process of creating the group has involved discussions with representatives from Sheffield 50+, University of the Third Age (U3A) and the Research Design Service Yorkshire and Humber. A co-produced invitation leaflet to become a member of the group has been created and will be distributed through these organisations for response.
