An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager with an interest in patient safety, patient involvement and patient experience, to lead on a dissemination plan for a patient safety intervention – Patient Reporting and Action for a Safe Environment (PRASE) that has been developed within the Yorkshire Quality & Safety Research Group.
The Project Manager – ‘Patient Involvement in Safety’, will work closely with an already-established ‘PRASE implementation team’ comprising staff from the Yorkshire Quality & Safety Research Group, Improvement Academy, and hospital staff at pilot sites to test and evaluate the implementation of all aspects of the PRASE intervention including the collection of patient feedback on safety, ward action planning and improvement cycles, and the use of a supporting PRASE app and website system.

The Project Manager will also have the opportunity to work with Improvement Academy staff on related programmes of work around the involvement of patients in patient safety.
The successful applicant can be based at the Improvement Academy or within their own host organization, if seconded into the role. The post holder will be educated to degree level with a good level of experience of engaging multiple partners, particularly different groups of hospital staff in improvement and/or research and development. Experience of improvement work for patient experience and/or safety would be advantageous.
