NIHR CLAHRC Yorkshire and Humber are supporting short-term research placement for non-medical clinicians across the region.
This scheme is funded by Health Education England, working across the Yorkshire and Humber region. This scheme has been designed to offer an introduction to AfC band 5 and 6 professionals who are interested in a clinical academic career, and provides a ‘next step’ after completing a Master’s degree to help build a portfolio of research experience.
What does the placement offer?
- Funding for protected time away from the workplace to gain research experience
- The opportunity for candidates to negotiate their own placements
- Funding for dissemination linked to the placement
- Mentorship and career planning
Who are we looking for?
Enthusiastic nurses and allied health professionals and other non-medical clinicians who would like to know more about research and career options as a clinical researcher, particularly within the NHS, and who have completed a master’s degree.
