Director of the NIHR Wessex CLAHRC and Professor of Applied Health Services Research

It is also home to the NIHR CLAHRC Wessex programme of applied health research organised around six themes of research and implementation with engaged NHS and community partners (patients, providers, commissioners). Our vision is to bring about a stepped change in innovation and integration of pathways of care for long term conditions.

The University is now seeking to appoint a Director who will inspire and lead the future development of the NIHR CLAHRC Wessex. Alongside the pursuit of his or her own world-class research in Applied Health Services Research, the Director will strive for excellence across the six identified themes and lead delivery of significant impact from the programme locally, nationally and internationally as well as enabling collaboration across key stakeholder groups.

In addition to an international research reputation, the successful candidate will bring a leadership and management experience as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-partner context and a commitment to developing the national and international reputation of the research programme. Candidates would be expected to have a good understanding of the UK health economy.
