Date for Your Diary
The Senate will be holding a half day event on the morning of the 11th March 2016. I hope you will be able to join us. We will consider the reviews we have conducted to date and draw any learning points and themes from these and consider how we may best serve our stakeholders in the future. We will be joined by national and regional speakers. If you have any feedback about what you would like to gain from this event please contact us so that we can develop the programme to accommodate this. Further details to follow!
Current and Forthcoming Work
We are in the later stages of completing the following 2 reviews:
• Children’s Surgery and Anaesthesia on behalf of the commissioning leads of the Working Together programme working across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Bassetlaw and Mid Yorkshire
• The future hospitals model for Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield CCGs
We are very pleased to be working on the Healthy Lives Healthy Futures programme across Northern Lincolnshire over the next 2 months where we will be reviewing their community services proposals. In the early New Year we have been asked by colleagues in specialised commissioning to review proposals for the configuration of vascular services. It is likely that this work will be completed by the end of February 2016.
If you would like the Senate to work with you on any of your proposals please contact email@example.com
New Reports on the Website
Since our last bulletin we are pleased to have completed the following reviews and added the reports to our website:
• Report on a dermatology model of care on behalf of North Lincolnshire CCG
• Report on behalf of the Working Together Programme to review the case for change and scenario appraisal in relation to the Hyper Acute Stroke Service
• Report on behalf of NHS Hull CCG who are developing an integrated care centre in Hull which is designed to enable rapid assessment and improved management of long term conditions in a community setting.
NHS England Review of Senates (the Organisational Alignment and Capability Programme)
We are pleased that the National Review has drawn its conclusions and is shortly going out to staff consultation. There are no recommended changes to the working arrangements of the Yorkshire and the Humber Clinical Senate and we continue to work under our existing terms of reference across the same geography. We are looking forward to working more closely with the other 3 Clinical Senates across the North region to ensure we share best practice and work collaboratively where possible.
Joining the Senate Assembly
The opportunity to join the Assembly remains open. It is a great opportunity to be involved in a range of strategic reviews across the Yorkshire and Humber geography. If you are interested you can follow the simple application process through our website.
