Expressions of Interest welcome – ResearchOne, research dataset

Dear colleague

ResearchOne is a research dataset of anonymised patient data consisting of real but de-identified clinical and administrative data drawn from the electronic patient records currently held on the clinical database SystmOneTM.  See

http://www.researchone.org/data/

The ResearchOne Data Service Board recently considered a number of ‘expressions of interest’ (first round of three), and agreed that six projects proceed to the next stage.  The Principal Investigators involved have now been invited to send a formal ‘data request’ to ResearchOne.

Further Expressions of Interest are still welcome – to the end of May and end of June!

The second round deadline is at midnight on Friday, 29th May, and expressions of interest arising from that (which will include a number of revised EOIs from round one), will be considered in June.

There will then be a third round of expressions of interest, to be considered in July; and the deadline for these is midnight, Tuesday, 30th June.

No cost to yourselves!

Do consider very carefully whether you or your colleagues can take advantage of this fantastic, unique opportunity.  Remember that, if successful, the cost of the data extraction will be borne by the AHSN for Yorkshire and the Humber, and not by your Institution (assuming you are based in Yorkshire and Humber).

Project approved so far

A list of the six projects approved so far, and a couple of lay abstracts, appear on the YHAHSN website:
