Sheffield Teaching Hospitals’ Service Improvement Department aims to support teams improve the quality and efficiency of services for patients and staff. We are looking to recruit three Improvement Facilitators across our two crucial improvement themes of Non-Elective and Elective Pathways. At the heart of the work is the use of the clinical microsystem improvement methodology, to coach and facilitate clinical teams in examining their services and designing tests of change.
We are looking for experienced individuals who have a passion for service improvement and can successfully coach teams from across the Trust. The posts will primarily be focused on the clinical microsystem coaching arm of the programme, but with the opportunity to be involved in project work across the programme as a whole.
Knowledge of service improvement methodology is an advantage but training will be provided in post. We are looking for individuals from all professional backgrounds, (including registered healthcare professionals) with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, alongside developed data analysis skills. You will be able to learn quickly and positively support and motivate teams.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 2 years due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust’s legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.
