Funding call development and evaluation of technologies that address musculoskeletal conditions.

Arthritis Research UK and the Medical Technologies Innovation Knowledge Centre have issued a funding call for the development and evaluation of technologies that address musculoskeletal conditions.

FUNDING SCOPE: This initiative seeks to fund projects that develop:

  • medical devices
  • orthotics
  • implantable therapeutic delivery
  • assisted living technologies and;
  • imaging.

ARUK and the Medical Technologies Innovation Knowledge Centre are offering funding and project management support to develop or evaluate prototypes, thereby reducing the risk for future investment or license to a third party. Grants of up to £100,000 will be awarded to successful applicants who can demonstrate a clear commercial solution to an MSK clinical need.

This call will not fund basic research projects. It is expected that projects will have been developed to a stage where further validation of the technical, market or commercial concept is required to attract further commercial investment.
