Trials Methodology Research
Our PhD programme presents a unique opportunity to undertake training for a PhD in trials methodology research.
Up to 20 new MRC PhD projects are available at locations across the UK.
Trials methodology covers all aspects of the trials development pathway, supported by the Network, a UK resource to improve the design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of clinical trials.
There are projects suitable for statisticians, mathematicians, biologists, health economists, qualitative researchers, epidemiologists, psychologists, social scientists, health service researchers, and those with appropriate qualifications currently working in trials. Projects are available at universities across the UK.
Package includes an enhanced student stipend of £19,726 per year for projects in London or £17,726 per year for projects elsewhere (a clinical salary for some projects is available for clinically qualified candidates

Due to funding restrictions only home/EU applicants are eligible for funding through this programme. Eligibility and residence requirements must be met.
