Use your experience of public involvement to be a ‘critical friend’ to our research programmes.
We are seeking one new public member for our PPI reference group.
The Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre is home to five research programmes that fund a range of health and public health research studies. The centre is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Our PPI reference group advises the coordinating centre on the best ways to develop the patient and public involvement (PPI) function.
The group is composed of people with experience of, and passion for, effective public involvement. We are keen to broaden the experience on the reference group, and would particularly welcome an application from someone with patient experience of a long-term condition (non-cancerous).
The group meets four times a year in Southampton. An honorarium is paid for attendance.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 30 Sept 2014.
Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be held on Friday 24 October 2014.
Applicants must be available to join the next meeting of the reference group which is on the evening of 9 December and the morning of 10 December with an overnight stay in Southampton..
